Quality metrics are the signals QA tracks to evaluate process health and quality impact, from defect density and time to resolution to approval turnaround and delivery predictability, reviewed monthly and shared with team leads quarterly to drive improvement, not blame.

Why This Exists

Without measurement, quality is an opinion. A small set of leading, outcome, and risk indicators shows whether the process is actually working and where to improve, and keeps the focus on process improvement rather than punishment.
